3UK to introduce MiFi mobile hotspot

The UK’s disruptive mobile operator, 3 UK, has confirmed plans to bring the MiFi mobile hotspot device to the country later this month.
The MiFi (Mobile wifi) device, made by US manufacturer Novatel Wireless, is a pocket sized box that runs off batteries or mains and can connect up to five wifi powered devices with a cellular backhaul connection (HSPA in this case) – a sort of  3G dongle on steroids. ( Read More)
 
Nortel hands over data connection between LTE and CDMA

Orascom hails launch of Koryolink in North Korea

Orascom has invested US$400 million to build a 3G mobile network in a developing country like North Korea which will be known as 'Koryolink' and will be a joint-venture between Orascom (75%) and the local state own company(25%) to expand the network with in the country and to open up in a remarkable way. Orascom Telecom Full Year Profit Down  76%

Orascom Telecom Holding (OTH) has reported a 76 drop in full-year net profit to US$431 million, after one-off gains a year ago were stripped out.
